WHAT'S SO SPECIAL ABOUT PSALMS CAMP?
In 1980 founder, James T. Lisemby, had a vision for a Bible and Music Encampment that would teach, and
spiritually encourage the next generation. Built on faith and prayer with the loving support of God's people,
PSALMS CAMP opened its gates in 1989.
Google lists hundreds of Christian Summer Camp opportunities, each of them boasting of their sports programs,
their water activities, and their exciting entertainment. PSALMS CAMP, however, boasts of something different. With a smaller price tag, a smaller acreage (27 acres), and old-fashioned values, we seek to purposefully reach every heart individually for Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 11 gives us remarkable and powerful stories of men and women of God who, through faith, overcame the world, walked in the strength of God Almighty, and made an eternal difference. Following in their footsteps were great men and women of God such as:

Amy Carmichael, a missionary to India who rescued children from temple prostitution; William Tyndale, who gave us the English Bible and died for the Christian faith; Fanny Crosby, the blind hymn writer, who memorized books of the Bible and gave us hymns such as "To God Be the Glory" and "Pass Me Not." George Muller, a powerful evangelist who cared for over 10,000 orphans in his lifetime and is known as a man of prayer and faith.
PSALMS CAMP is not a concrete playground or water park. It is not a summer vacation spot where you can go to be merely entertained or receive 15 minute devotions a day. The vision of PSALMS CAMP is to strip away the distractions of the world so to better see God's handiwork in natural surroundings; and in that place of stillness, we endeavour to cultivate:
-
A passionate love and hunger for the Word of God
-
A firm conviction to stand upon truth
-
A vision to use our God-given talents and gifts to reach others
-
A desire to be among those "of whom the world is not worthy"
-
And training to shape the next generation of Pastors, Evangelists, missionaries, teachers, leaders, and parents.
If you are looking for a summer spot where your children will have fun and make exciting memories, your options are endless. But if you are looking for a place where, in the midst of fun activities, a remnant of world changers are made, look no further than PSALMS CAMP.

I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever:
with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.
